We know that nobody wants to work for an outdated, stagnant organization. Whether it be leadership philosophy, business processes, organization ideology "That's how we've always done it", or other factors, theres some things that keep organization's back from growing, evolving, and innovating.
This month's Question to the Community is:
What do you think is holding YOUR organization, at any level, back from growing, transforming and being an innovative organization?

Resourcing is holding back innovation--not enough depth, and in many cases employees are one deep. Innovation in my opinion comes from the bottom up as teams create work arounds to aging technology platforms and IT legacy systems that are not capable with keeping up with policy/business process changes. Our legacy system modernization effort has been affected by continuous CRs time delays slowing progress. If our workforce had more modernized tools, it would spark all sorts of innovation. For example, Qlik dashboards have brought tremendous efficiencies to our workforce and helped with data analytics and data driven decisions.

Not knowing, what we don't know. Our organization is transforming, and the entire mission set, focus, and priorities are changing. We, in my opinion are struggling to understand where we fit in the Army Strategy. Its difficult to transform when you do not know what to transform into.
